The above images were taken across a period of 30 years. While they’re no big deal, I’ve been left to ask, “What is it that I was seeing here in all this while”?
In the process of thinking, came up with this number:
“Some see it and some don’t
Some get it while most don’t”.
On occasion I’ve been asked what’s my preoccupation with the common man and his working endeavours? I’ve also been told often, “You could be better off pandering to the well to do and the better off – there’s no money in this stuff”.
Money – heck, how should I know? Never thought of looking at my work, well this sort of work, in this way. This is just what I see – this outside of what are supposed to be my usual stomping grounds. In getting bored with my “everyday”, usually take to the streets and, in the process, this is what I’ve found out there.
I guess my time could have been put to better use pandering after the next paying opportunity. While lacking suitable and sustainable alternatives, would come back home with this sort of stuff. Talk about being “under employed”.
_____ TECHNICAL NOTES: In the first image, a Canon F-1 and a Canon 28mm f/2.8 FD lens was used. In the second, a Leica M3 or M4P and a 28mm f/2.8 Leitz Elmarit. In the third, a Canon EOS 1D MkII and a Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L.
