This site has been a while in the making. Sites previous to this one were pretty static and nothing really to get excited about. At the time, they did their job. Times have since changed and, something a little more dynamic is now required. In the process of arriving here, we looked at and put together flash based sites, CMS based sites and, eventually, put together something that seems to suit present requirements.

To develop and create this site, the following tools and services are currently deployed to provide what we now have in place here. In the process:

• The front end of this web site is based on Reportage, a photo theme for WordPress by Graph Paper Press.
• The web site’s back end operations and functions are provided by WordPress.
• Web hosting is provided by GotWebHost.

In March, 2013 a decision was made to move my image archive from Photoshelter to PhotoDeck. In the process, the image archive site will be incorporated into the main web site here. Given PhotoDeck’s platform and its eCommerce features, the choice to move on was made easy. All this is part of an effort to better market and manage my image archive and handle image licencing and print sales.

As they say, “Great work is seldom created by chance”. Nor is “great work” created alone or in the dark, so to speak. The development of this particular web site has been long in the making. In the process there have been many who have helped in their way along this path.
